I was skeptical the hinge would feel flimsy, but it locks into place solidly when I'm mashing and folds away flush for the drawer. The way the plate curves down to reach the edges of my stockpot is a small detail that genuinely saves me from chunkier bits.

The folding head is such a clever design—it slips right into a drawer without taking up half the space my old masher did. Works well against the curved sides of my pans and the nylon plate feels sturdy enough for daily use.

The fold-flat mechanism is genuinely handy for my tiny drawer, and it fits right into my curved stockpot without scratching the sides. Took off one star only because the nylon head feels a bit stiff when pressing down on really chunky potatoes, though it gets the job done fine.
